XBOX ARTWORK BUILDER
====================

HOW TO USE
----------
1. Place your source artwork folders in the "Artwork (Source)" folder.
2. Run Xbox Artwork Builder.exe
3. Select a template when asked, or just hit Enter (green is the default).

If you want to skip a "<Category>", add (skip) to the folder name. "<Category> (skip)"
You can also make a folder named "(skip)" and put the categories inside it.
This is handy if you don't want to rebuild a specific folder's artwork but you want to keep the source files.

TEMPLATES
---------
The "Templates" are just case colours. Black and Metal are available, and Green is the default.

CATEGORY
--------
The folder name that contains the other folders.
I normally use "Artwork - Homebrew", "Artwork - Xbox NTSC Games" etc.

The Artwork (Source) folder is created automatically on first run if it does not exist.

ARTWORK (SOURCE) FOLDER LAYOUT
------------------------------
Artwork (Source)/<Category>/
    CDs/ Disc images (png)
Default.xmls/ XML files (Perfect Dark X-T.xml etc.)
    Fanarts/ Fanart images (jpg)
Scans/ Full case scans (1610x1080 jpg)
    Screenshots/ Named "Perfect Dark X-T 1.jpg", "Perfect Dark X-T 2.jpg" and "Perfect Dark X-T 3.jpg"
    Videos/ Preview MP4s

Artwork must have a suffix, otherwise it is skipped.
The following are supported and are used to crop thumb.jpg so the game's logo/name stays in the image:

    Top -T
    Middle Top -MT
    Middle -M
    Middle Bottom -MB
    Bottom -B

ARTWORK (BUILT) FOLDER LAYOUT
-----------------------------
Artwork (Built)/<Category>/<foldername>/
    <foldername>.zip Release zip
<foldername> (Installer).zip Installer zip (not needed by you, it's for me)

    Contains:
        <foldername>/
            _resources.zip All artwork
_fanart.zip High res fanart (if available)
            _video.zip Preview video (if available)
details.txt Title ID and folder path

ADDITIONAL INFO
---------------
The Python 3 scripts were converted into exes using Nuitka.

UPDATE 1.0.0
------------
- Added my optimiser script. Use this on your images to reduce their file sizes and fix the dimensions. (Put your images in the Artwork (Source) folder and run the exe.)
- Will now populate tags in the XML files if missing or incorrect.
- Will now create new XMLs for content if none is found, though it will be extremely basic info.
- Fixed thumb.jpg not being cropped correctly.
- Updated the dark template and renamed it to black.
- Added the option to override the selected template.

New file: "override templates.ini"
  Example:
      [Apps]
      Dashloader Customizer-T=black

      [Specials]
      Doom 3 Limited Collector's Edition-M=metal
      Halo 2 LCE Sleeve-MT=metal
      Halo 2 Limited Collectors Edition-MT=metal
Splinter Cell - Chaos Theory Limited-T=metal

UPDATE 1.1.0
------------
- Added an online check for new version and the option to directly download the zip if there is an update.
- Fixed CD images transparent part of the spindle being removed when resized. (I was a bit over aggressive with removing empty space lol)
- Redone the _Xbox DVD.psd file.
- Updated the _Blank Scan.psd

UPDATE 1.2.0
------------
- CDs will now be generated if not present using the front image and the suffix to keep the game logo/name on the disc.

UPDATE 1.3.0
------------
- Case colours are now dynamic. Any folder in "templates" named case_<name> shows up in the menu as <name>. Only the files that differ need to be in the folder, anything missing falls back to templates/default.
- "override templates.ini" and "override cd overlays.ini" can now use either the sourcename (Mario64-B) or the foldername (Mario64) as the game key.
- In "override templates.ini" the case colour can be the menu name or the folder name (metal or case_metal what ever is simpler to keep track).
- The update check is now its own menu (download update, continue or exit) instead of in the case colour menu.
- Added the option to override the CD overlay per game.
- Added a lighter green case colour
- blank_scan is now case colour dependant, I include ones for each case colour I made.

New file: "override cd overlays.ini"
  Example:
      [Homebrew]
      Mario64-B=CD overlay white

It uses the overlay from the selected case colour folder if there is one, if not it falls back to the default one.
I include 3, default, white and grey.
